My fiance and i met 4 1/2 years ago and got engaged in January on our anniversary. We have decided to have a breakfast buffet at night not only to do something totally different but also because we met over breakfast and thought it would be a unique way to personalize our wedding.
We are getting a lot of flack and I would just like to get some opinions! I know we won’t please everyone but im curious to know what some other brides thing 🙂
Menu: Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, French Toast, Panacakes, Pork& Beef Sausage, Chuncky Potato Hashbrowns, Assorted Pastries & Fruit , Ice Tea, Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Mimosas, Chocolate Fountain (assorted items for fountain), We are also having tarts, pies, cookies, Croissants Dipped in donut glaze and drizzled in chocolate, coffee, tea, water and a full bar.
Midnight Meal – Assorted Cheese, Meats, Antipasto, Spinach Dip, Salsa and chips and other typical midnight meal items (still working on this menu)
Please let me know what you think ! I look forward to your constructive criticism

personally i love it! I can see why some wouldn’t , but honestly if you love breakfast and there is a reason/meaning behind it…. then go for it

Why not? It sounds like fun. I would love a breakfast “meal”! Not a typical wedding dinner. And your food has a lot of variety! Love the idea, go for it!

i think its adorable & unique!

I think it’s fun but I would add some extra items like at a brunch so people don’t have to eat breakfast if they don’t want.

First thing I thought of was blueberry stuffed pancakes. Put a bit of a twist on things or do something like a waffle bar where people can pick all sorts of topings would be really fun. Th staff caf. here does brunch on Sundays and it is the most liked meal of the week. I think the midnight meal needs some serious work however and make it a little more themed.

I love this idea and am totally crashing this wedding.
You are right – you can’t please everyone, and there will be people who are really set in their ways and will be totally confused by anything other than protein/starch/veggie on a plate.
… but don’t let that stop you from doing something different and fun!

That sounds amazing, theres nothing I love more than bacon! What about adding a waffle maker or something with blueberries/strawberries etc and make sure you have Baileys (Irish Cream) for the coffee!!!!!

I will cover the cost of my plate and bring you a nice gift if you let me come.
It sounds yummy!

It sounds delicious! Will your family be on board though? I know my family would not agree with that. Is having a brunch wedding out of the question?
