ClaudiaKishi:  As a LONG time nail biter, and by long time… I mean my ENTIRE life (I’m 34 now). I could sometimes get my nails to a good length and then I would bit them. And it wasn’t just little bites, like people would ask if my fingers hurt due t how short they were. I was used to it, so it never bothered me.

My nails were OK for my wedding, but I did get acrylics done so I had something. I had never had them before, and they did hurt the nest day. BUT… after letting my nails grow under them for a few weeks, I got them off and had a manicure done. My nails had grown enough that the weird spots didn’t bother me to bite – and since then, I’ve been getting gel manicures each month and haven’t thought about biting my nails. Who knew all I needed was acrylics to start that off.

Granted, my nails were weak after getting the acrylics off. But, I would put nail strengthener on them and thaty did help. I started doing my own manicures at home, but after they would chip after a day – gel has been my go-to since February.
