Try getting a lotion with Salysilic Acid for your trouble areas – make sure you exfoliate too! I would avoid a mask, you probably don’t need it. If you can, maybe try an acne facial at a local day spa to to try remove some dead skin and do extractions for you? Definitely try to eat fruits and veggies and add the multivitamin and more water to your diet! I can actually clear up if I cut down on carbs sometimes too. Also, cardio helps! Just make sure you clean your skin afterwards! If you go to a gym that has a sauna, that could also help a bit!

I struggle with the same issues! Good luck!!

It’s stress! I’m going through the same exact thing! I’ve tried so many things and I finally found something. It’s by Neutrogena. It’s called Spot-On. It works WOONDERS! But, it does dry out my skin so I have to moisturize. Hope this helps.

Same thing happened to me, I got rid of everything by doing this:

1. No make up until the day of the wedding.

2. Washed face twice a day using the Neutrogena facial bar (unscented)

3. Salicylic Acid, in the morning. I used Clean and Clear invisible blemish treatment

4. Benzoyl Peroxide at night – I went through 1 tube a week. I loaded up on the stuff. Looks gross, but works great! I used Equate Acne gel. It’s gritty, but cheaper than the brand name stuff and works the same.

4. Moisturizer as needed.

5. Exfoliated once a week using St. Ives Apricot scrub

6. Drink a ton of water and take a multivitamin with food.

I didn’t have a single zit on the day of my wedding, just a mosquito bite on my cheek Yell

Hope this helps!

If I were you I would go to the dermatologist and see if they can give you something to helo clear it up. It’s probably all the stress. Try to relaxe. When I get breakouts, I put rubbing alcohol on them and they dry up pretty quick.

@chicy724:

I put the benzoyl peroxide all over. I haven’t had anything on my forehead in 10 years, I wasn’t going to risk having one pop up.

Salicylic Acid is an active ingredient. 2% is the max in most products. I’ve used the Clean and Clear brand of it on and off for a while. I’ve never looked at other stuff… If you have a brand that you prefer to use, go for it.

Purpose gentle wash is what I’m using now. I prefer liquid cleansers. I have no complaints.

I would stop using the overnight exfoliant and use a scrub in the shower – I can’t use the apricot scrub, but I hear it’s great. I use philosophy –The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash – it’s about $25 from Sephora and it’s sulfate free (I’m allergic) and gentle enough for everyday use!

I tend to over-dry out when using lots of acids and the benzoyls – so I try to use less of that, use Aveeno salycilic lotion and their gentle cleanser and exfoliate more and spot treat overnight instead of popping. If you can avoid makeup, do it! If you can eat healthier and exercise, do that too! The latter will at least make you feel a lot better if it doesn’t clear everything up completely!

If those pesty pimples are still there the week of you should go to a health food store or anywhere that sells essential oil. Get a bottle of 100% tea tree oil. This essential oil naturally kills bacteria (which is what clogs your pores and causes white heads!). Many acne products have tea tree oil in them, but this concentrated version works wonders for a quick fix! Just be careful not to use it every day because it can dry skin out big time with over use. Apply directly on to pimple and it will be half the size if not almost gone the next day!

Another solution to pimples that have broken and won’t heal is the essential oil Lavender. It’s often used for calming or sleep, but what many people don’t know is that this oil helps to speed your body’s natural healing process. It works wonderful on cuts, rashes, and burns (which means its a pimple’s worst nightmare).

Play around with a combination of tea tree oil first and then lavender oil after. You’ll find that because these oils are natural they won’t clog your pores. I have really problem skin and couldn’t find a solution until I tried this natural route. Each of these bottles is about $12-17 each and should last you a long time as you only need one or two drops each application! Give it a try!

P.S. If you do give these a try remember not to apply or wear under makeup as the essential oils often draw cosmetics into your pores. Best use is at night before bed with a clean face.
