My wedding is this Friday (5 days away) and despite all my attempts to keep my skin clear, which it has for the past month, I have started to break out!
I am really nervous because I have alot of guests coming and there’s still alot to be done. However I have been regularly washing my face with a skin clearing regime and drinking plenty of water.
I’d really appreciate any advice bees can give to eliminate existing acne and prevent more from arising!

Well considering it’s so close to your wedding day, don’t change anything or it may make you break out even more. Try to relax, take time out to just breathe and chill, hydrate, and perhaps ring your makeup artist and inform her that you’ve had a break out so that she can bring any extra items (concealer, anti-redness cream) that she may need.
Or if you’re doing your own makeup then maybe invest in a good concealer yourself. 🙂

Don’t panic, all will be well. The best thing you can do is not touch any spots. Also avoid over-cleansing your skin, once a day with a cream cleanser is plenty, anything more and you can trigger sebum production and a break out, and wash your face gently – no scrubbing.

Benzoyl peroxide at night, and salycilic (sp?) acid (around 2%) to spot treat. Be careful with the benzoyl, though and get a lower dose so that you don’t get peely so close to your wedding. (I avoid using it on my nose and around my mouth, the rest of my face won’t peel from it) Also, pressing an ice cube on a zit will reduce swelling and redness, so at least they won’t be so angry looking.
Just keep doing what you’re doing- regular skin care regimen, lots of water, etc- and it will at least calm down after a few days so you can more easily cover it with makeup.

If you’ve popped any already: Polysporin. The cream, NOT the clear ointment. Thought this was gross to put on your face but it works miracles. If you put it on the spot of grossness, completely covered, then stick a bandaid on it overnight you will see improvement the next day. If you’re home alone at all, do the same thing. I healed a horrid cystic pimple scar in 3 days this way!

Thank you so much bees! I will try my best to relax and avoid changing my routine, except for spot treatment
