Thanks for all your help last week. This question is completely random, but my mom (age 54) has for some reason decided not to get a mammogram for a few years. There is no breast cancer in her family (actually, no cancer at all) and she was getting manual exams from her gynecologist who did not find any lumps.
Anyway she’s finally getting a mammogram now, after I repeatedly nagged her about it. She recently went to the gyno again (who found no lumps) so she told me that if anything DOES show up in the mammogram (God forbid) that it will be small enough to be caught early and dealt with quickly.
Any truth to this?
