Please share your experience when you got your period back after having a baby who you breastfed. Also, if you tried to start it back up because you were looking to conceive again, sharing that experience would be awesome. I am super curious about this and find nature’s “child spacing” technique very interesting!

My first af came a few weeks ago when my DS was just a little over 5 months old. We started giving him solids and cereal (I didn’t pump) at 4 months with his Dr.’s ok. My Darling Husband and I are wanting another baby asap so it was a very welcome surprise.
It was normal for me to have 80 day cycles before getting pregnant and it looks like my body tried to ovulate (not sure if I actually did yet) which is amazing b/c I had to use clomid to conceive the first time around.

I’m still breastfeeding. We do 3-4 bottles day & night and have for over a month now. I got mine at 10 weeks
I think mine started up because I started birthcontrol pills a week prior.

Mine came just after 6 months, when I stopped EBF/pumping and started solids.

I haven’t given birth yet, but this thread is interesting to me. I’m following to see what others have to say.

Thank you to those who have replied! My son is almost 4 months and I know maybe I am weird, but not having a period just sort of bothers me lol(perhaps just the not knowing is irking me? lol). He might be allowed to start on solids soon, so maybe that will do the trick.

@Schatzie821: Just this month at 9.5 months pp! I can tell you I did NOT miss the mean ugly ol’ bitty one single bit and have come to terms with her return ONLY because I’d like to start chartting for when we’re ready to ttc for our next, although I was really hoping that I could just get pregnant without her returning and me make it another 588 days without her! lol
