Are you pre-menstrual? Sometimes my boobs hurt around that time!

As far as I know breast cancer does not “hurt,” – what I mean is that a lump usually does not hurt.  If it did, it would help women find them sooner, but as far as I know, it is probably all right.  Mine hurt pre-menstrual, and sometimes they just do.  Sometimes if I wear a pushup bra…

I don’t think that’s a sign of breast cancer!  My first thought was pregnancy, but it sounds like you’re extra careful, so that’s probably not it.  My boobs are sore sometimes too, but it always goes away.  If you’re really nervous and it doesn’t go away, call your doctor and chat.

I think that sore boobs are definitely part of PMSing. Mine don’t usually hurt but I think its pretty normal. If you’re worried though give your OBGYN a call. They can probably tell you over the phone if you need to come in. It’ll put your mind at ease 🙂

Did you change detergents or fabric softeners? That can do it as well.

mine will hurt sometimes, due to many reasons. Normally around my period, or even 2 weeks before my period is due, they hurt. Also, if I retain water, for any reason (salt, etc) they sometimes hurt. I wouldn’t be too worried about it unless they get extremely painful and the pain doesn’t go away after a couple days or so.

I think sometimes diet might have an impact on premenstrual stuff.  Like if you have too much caffeine?  Although my doctor told me that my problem was that I wasn’t wearing a bra that was giving me enough support.  Maybe look into some of that stuff too.

Don’t worry!!! I was sooo scared for awhile because my breasts HURT and i mean really bad…i couldnt lay down on my tummy I couldn’t move,,,and I counted to see how far away my period was and there was still a good wk for me to get it more or less (my period is irregular sometimes), but then I got it like the next day and I was like oooooo that’s why they hurt so much hah..mother nature is tricky like that…also if your bra is too tight breasts can hurt as well from the under wire

Also breast cancer seldom presents as symmetrical pain.  I’d bet dollars to donuts that this is something hormonal and not cancer.

Ha, you’re lucky your first thought doesn’t go to pregnancy!  That’s always my first thought when something abnormal pops up, but then I have to remind myself, hey, you’re on birth control, chill out.  I’m probably just extra paranoid because gaaah! don’t want a baby right now!
