Me!  I stayed at Breezes Bahamas and it was great!  It wasn’t the NICEST place that we could have stayed but there were zero kids, the staff was AWESOME, and the beach was beautiful.  It is also a little outdated decor wise, but that doesn’t really matter to me.

I would recommend it.

My Fiance and I (then bf) stayed for a week at Breezes Bahamas in May/June. We both needed a relaxing getaway on a budget. We were pleased with the all-inclusive resort. The beach was gorgeous! They gave us a “garden-view” room when we checked in, but we asked the front desk to move us to an “ocean-view” room because we had paid extra for a view of the ocean when we booked the trip. The clerk was really nice and helpful. We ended up with a great view. The hotel had a funky smell (probably mold from condensation) but you get used to it.

The food in the dining hall was delicious. We made reservations to eat at the Italian restaurant one night and that was romantic (and yummy). [Note: they are strict about the dress code at the restaurants requiring reservations. We saw the hostess refuse entry into the Italian restaurant to a couple because the guy was wearing shorts instead of long pants.] The bartenders make great drinks, and if you think they aren’t strong enough they keep bottles of alcohol out so you can add more to your liking.

They have nightly shows, daily activities, and a nightclub. There are people on the beach that you can take snorkeling excursions with or other water activities. We went on one of these snorkeling trips and I collected several starfish and sand dollars and saw amazing aquatic life on a reef. If you want to just relax on the beach without being bothered by these vendors, there’s a quieter area on the beach where the vendors aren’t allowed to go. You can also book day trips at the front desk. We took the bus tour around the island. I recommend the island tour, it’s really insightful and they stop at some landmarks and Atlantis.

The only real problem we had was the weather…it rained 5 out of 6 days!! 🙁 It kept alternating between sun and clouds each day. We still managed to get a tan and have fun. We were in the Bahamas after all… ^_^

Some Breezes are nice-some not so much. You just have to remember that they are family friendly. Dependent upon whe you’re going, that may or may not be an issue.

My husband and I just honeymooned in Jamaica at Breezes Negril and we really enjoyed it.  Can’t really complain about anything.

@Bliss Honeymoons:That is what I have heard as well! I have 2 different people I work with that told me about Breezes when I first announced we were looking at the Caribbean as an option for the honeymoon. One woman RAVED about it…everything was wonderful according to her. She went with her Darling Husband, Mother-In-Law and 2 teenage kids. The other woman went there for her honeymoon 2 years ago…exact same resort. She HATED it! The funny thing was that everything the woman loved about it was the exact thing the other one hated. Lots of kids activities, too many kids. Wonderful buffet, hates buffets. The list went on and on. So yeah…definitely depending on which one you are going to. That is the thing I am encountering. I really want an adult only resort but am finding that it is not easy to find AND stay in budget.

I went to Breezes Bahamas for Spring Break in 2004 and it was great although the hotel was in need of rennovations. However, they had an 18 plus policy for a few weeks in March, around the spring break season, not sure if they do this often but I can highly recommend an adults only resort for your honeymoon.

When I went in June (Breezes Bahamas) one year I know that I never saw a single kid.  Thank god.
