What are some things you are doing to prepare for the big day? Hair, skin, nails, weightloss/toning.
It is certainly easy to get caught up in the planning, but we want to look and feel our best on the big day so lets share ideas!

Hair: Got my highlights touched up
Skin: i went to the dermatologist to clear up my rosecea (this is when your skin looks like your blushing all the time grrr-the make up covered it up though bc it wasnt all clear the day of the wedding)
Nails: i got a gel mani the day before the wedding
Weightloss: i just maintained my weight.

@future-mrs: I’ve been seeing a dermotologist for my cystic acne and rosacea. I started early because you never know how long finding the right treatment will take.
I’ll get a mani/pedi the day before.
Hair I’ve already tried out and decided on the color. It’s a chocolate cherry that’s very close to my natural brown but with a tinge of auburn. FH loved the color.
I think about losing like 3-5 pounds but I yo-yo a lot so I’m sure the month before the wedding I’ll be where I want because of the stress.
I’m also going to start tanning a few months before just for a healthy glow. I don’t habitually tan but I look great with one. 🙂

Hair – extensions and cut & color
Skin – keeping to a strict beauty regime, drinking lots of water (& w/lemon in the morning), eating healthy
Nails – manicure and pedicure the day before the wedding
Weight loss/toning – don’t need it

I am a haridresser so I highlight my hair reguarly and I just found the most amazing deep conditioning treatment. I love my long hair but yesterday took 4 inches off and got a conditioning treatment to start getting wedding ready hair.. It was the best decsion so far! The treatment is called Kera Whip by keratin complex. I’ve used so many things that promise so much and under deliver but this stuff is AMAZING! give it a try!

I have done the following already:
1) Got my hair cut and dyed about 4 weeks before – that way it will be in the best shape for the wedding when it’s grown out a tiny bit.
2) Gone to FL for a few days and got a real tan.
3) Moisturize 2x daily using that Clinique moisturizer (it’s yellow – forget the name). It’s amazing.
4) Bought the UD Naked 2 palette and have been practicing with it (doing my own make-up).
5) Bought a mini curling iron and learned to curl my hair (doing my own hair as well).
6) Weight loss – Stopped boozing, eating processed food and desserts (OMG, I can’t wait to have dessert again at my wedding!). Been using a ShakeWeight and doing squats when watching tv. Sometimes I run but I don’t try to be religious about it. And just in case the weight loss didn’t work…
7) … bought Spanx.
Still need to do:
1) Getting an organic airbrush tan a couple days before.
2) Debating on whether I want to do my own mani-pedi or have it done.
3) Figure out what kind of look I want to go for make-up and hair-wise… YouTube will help with that.

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
@future-mrs: Starting a few weeks from the wedding I kept polish on my nails so I didn’t have the urge to gnaw them off. I also left lotion on my nightstand and made sure to use it morning and night.
Regarding food I tried to eat healthy and cut pop a week or two leading up to my wedding. I also started drinking Emergen-C because the flu was going around at the time.

@orchidaloha: If I haven’t already found you before and pointed it out; Hey, date twin! I don’t see many 11/10/13 brides on here!!
@MrsNewDay: Great list! I’m most jealous of #2! My tan is fading but I didn’t know “organic spray tans” were a thing! I’ll have to look into that! Also, the yellow bottle is Clinique’s Moisture+ and it is amazeballs, indeed.
I just got my hair trimmed, highlighted (juuuuust barely), and trialed (half up/half down loose waves, whawhat!). Got my eyebrows waxed & ‘stache under control, too. Phew!
Maintaining my weight, admitedly though by telling myself I’m trying to lose 5 so I’ll be very conscientious of my food intake.
Keeping up on my skin care routine (thanks, Clinique!) and I think this might be a new years resolution – I love how my skin looks when I’m not too lazy to wash it 2x/day!
Planning on getting a “natural” mani/pedi – i.e. no gels – the day or two before the wedding. I’ll take my own bottle of color so I can touch up if necessary. Maybe I’ll just spend the in-between time wearing latex gloves 😉
I think that sums up the beautification process! Oh, lots of moisturing from head-to-toe!

I’m about five months out and have started a push-up challenge so that I’ll have killer arms and shoulders in my dress. Other than that, I’m going to have to start practicing my intended hairstyle soon, so that I know I can nail it on the big day. I’m usually pretty great at doing my own hair but I’m planning something a little different for the wedding, so it’ll take some practice.

@future-mrs: thanks for sharing your find! I’ve been looking for a new deep conditioner
