I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to get a whole new bed set.  Could you just upgrade your comforter with something that matches what you already own?  I don’t think that most people even notice what is on the bed, just the dress.

I would hit up a vintage or antique store.  I have a gorgeous, burnished gold satin quilted bedspread I got for $20 at an antique store that is very dressy.  It’s beautiful, I use it every day, and it was affordable.  My sister has a pretty pale yellow and white chenille bespread that would be cute for a more shabby chic wedding.  She got it at an antique store for $10.  Do you have any quilts that have been passed down from grandmother’s, aunts, or moms?  I think that that would be a cool way to tie in the women in your family if that was on the bed in the background.
