I’m trying to figure out my bridal bouquet – I actually already had my consultation but it’s very much up in the air.
My colors are blue and orange and my dress is ivory. I’m not interested in having all white flowers, to my mother’s dismay. I know I’m going to be having a round shaped bouquet.
This is the color of the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress –
Although I think it’s a deeper blue than is shown in the picture.
I’ve been thinking orange flowers would be better than blue because I kind of think blue on blue (in my MOH’s case) would like kind of dumb, even though orange is the accent color. The flowers I’ve been centering on are roses and calla lilies. I think I like the look of the roses best because those bouquets have more of the full look I like but calla lilies are on my invitations so there’s a whole theme thing to that so I’ve thought about using both.
So I had originally thought about a bouquet that looked something like this –
or this –
or this –
but then I saw this yesterday and was really high on it – really liked the way the white contrasted the orange and the mix of roses and lilies –
although now I’m not too sure if I like that or not, having white (or ivory) in the bouquet.
And then there’s also this –
Incorporating blue, which is my main color. I think this is closest to what the florist has in mind right now, although we might change it. I’m not sure how crazy I am about the smaller accent flowers in different colors.
Or I could always abandon orange flowers and look at blue ones (which would probably be hydrangeas), but I have so much blue (my shoes, e-ring, Maid/Matron of Honor dress, sash of Flower Girl dress) and not really any orange that I think it would be nice to have the color in there somewhere.
What do you all think?
