i’m going with a mix…mostly white with some latte and mocha feather flowers mixed in.  BUT my dress is blue.  if i was wearing white/ivory, i would definitely go for a colored or mostly colored bouquet.  the first time i got married my bouquet was (silk) red roses and hydrangeas with a small smattering of stephanotis and a bit of ivy and it looked GREAT with my ivory overlay gown.  (the underskirt was a pale peach color and peeked out in the front split of the overlay.)  i had my Maid/Matron of Honor (only attendant) in red with a white/cream bouquet and the effect was lovely.

Mine’s a mix.  The flowers are all white, but the brooches range from ivory to purple to gray to black.

Me and all my girls are carrying white/ivory. I don’t want mine to pop on my dress. I always feel like that’s the first thing I notice in the picture, not the bride or the dress, so I didn’t want mine to distract from anything.

I had a white bouquet and LOVED it. I was aiming for classic elegance, so the fact it didn’t “pop” against the dress was ideal. (As

@MrsProf mentioned, the focus stayed on my overall look rather than being drawn to the flowers)

As far as the bouquet fading into the dress: photographers know how to balance photos to see the details of white dresses, and the same principle apply to flowers. It was a non-issue.

My bouquet had garden roses, lilacs, ranunculus, irises, lily of the valley, and sweet peas. It smelled amazing!

The girls had purple bouquets – irises, ranunculus, and sweet pea. They looked great with their teal dresses.

It’s a personal decision. Keep in mind that a white bouquet will blend into a white dress.

I’m all about bold colors which is what I had in mind to use.

I REALLY wanted to have orange in my bouquet.  Not all orange, but some.  Like 1/3 or less.  However, everybody (meaning mom, sis, sister’s friend– who asked her!?– etc) are INSISTING i do creams and ivories with no orange because its more “bridal”

hopefully i gain some more ground and just say screw em and do the orange!

I originally thought I wanted a colour bouquet as well but then I saw so many white/ivory bouquets that I loved and I completely changed my mind.  Similar to LGenz, mine was mostly white/ivory with pale pink peonies – I absolutely LOVED it!

Sorry, I don’t have any pictures on this computer.

Gorgeous bouquets, ladies! I like how each bouquet matches each bride just right. It all depends on your dress, your personality, etc. I had a mix of purples and whites. Roses, gardenia, hydrangea, stephanotis (all smelled soooo yummy!) and handmade orange blossoms (we had an orange/orange blossom theme). It had just enough pop against my dress while still balancing my overall look, and it followed the dark to light colors from the outside in as the bridal party stood together.
