- Wedding: December 2015 - Gibsons (Chicago - Gold Coast)
prettygirl05: we planned a NYE wedding in 5 months with a venue change 5 weeks prior to the date… I accepted early on that a lot of things would get forgotten or decided at the last minute!! We were up until 5 AM two nights before picking songs, writing our vows and sorting table decorations. In the end we laughed our way through it while binge watching Making a Murderer! I don’t recommend everyone/anyone (LOL) go that route cause it’s chaotic and requires you to really not care about the details too much… But I do use my example to let people know that there’s plenty of time, so don’t feel rushed or pressured to have every thing done months before. It all works out beautifully in the end!

detroitchicagogirl: OMG. I guess it depends on the person. I am a generally planner, so I like things done. I’m 3 weeks out and I am still sorting out songs. According to my own timeline I am behind. I planned to be lounging in a chaise right now. Lol

It’s done! Now I can breathe! i ended up using:
Wedding Party Processional – Golden Chrisette Michele
Bride’s Processional – Real Love – Eric Benet
Recessional – Love On Top – Beyonce
Sand Ceremony – Wedding Vows Instrumental – Jamie Foxx
Cake Cutting – Love – Musiq
First Dance – You Are – Charlie Wilson
SparKler Exit – Uptown Funk – Bruno Mars
i hand-picked nearly every song that was played during the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Everyone loved the music and said it was very classy.😀😀😀
