    @mrsalexander: Haha, fabulous! I live for the moments when I manage to do that to other people.

    I might but I am getting married in December in the mountains.  So they will be actual functional gloves- not a fashion statement.  I love that green lace dress By The Way.

    What I think of when I hear “Bridal” Gloves

    The thing about gloves is they have to fit perfectly to look good.

    @eocenia:  lol, yes, hilarious!

    I think they probably could look great if styled perfectly (the perfect dress, perfect gloves, perfect accessories), but I’ve only seen that in styled photo shoots, not personally real life.

    As a somewhat-aside, my fiance was married before, and somehow his ex wife’s bridal gloves ended up with his stuff, I found them, and I had a tearful meltdown, thinking he was  saving these.  He had no idea they were mixed in with his things, which I dont doubt at all now, because he is kind of a disorganized guy.  Anyway, I saw pictures of her wearing these gloves, and they kinda make me want to barf (they were super cheap looking ones), and I want to avoid wearing anything on my own wedding day that triggers my gag reflex…  Her bridesmaids wore faux fur muffs too…  They looked like they were carrying polar bear stuffed animals down the aisle…

    I always have been curious about fingerless bridal gloves… but I don’t know if they would go well with a capped sleeve tea-length dress.

    I always think of delicate, virginal princesses wearing satin gloves. My personal opinion on that:

    I am wearing some, although i dont know if it will be ceremony and reception or just one, here are the ones I bought…my dress is a very vintage looking dropped waist ball gown (alllll lace, point d’esprit, eyelash lace plus chantilly), so I wanted something form fitting like these, they actually fit tighter on my hands than in the pic.

    I’m wearing lace gauntlets! They go with my semi-victorian look

    I was going to wear these, and wore them for my bridal portraits, but clean forgot to put them on the day of my wedding! I didn’t even realize until the next day when my husband was looking at my bridal portraits (he hadn’t wanted to see them before the wedding because of seeing me in my dress, etc) and was all, “hey, you had gloves!”

    @Bunny_the_Bride:

    Just a question, but what happens to the gloves when the rings are exchanged? Do you pull them off during the ceremony?

    i have a pair of fingerless over-the-elbow gloves to wear, mostly because i don’t want to freeze in a strapless dress and a capelet in december, lol.  i’m not decided on whether or not i’ll wear them for the ceremony or pictures.

    i got this style…

    in this fabric…

    in a custom longer length from this etsy seller.
