We’ve been engaged for over a year and our wedding isn’t until September. I thought with all of the time to prepare, we’d be SO ahead in planning but the exact opposite has happened! I feel that because we had so much down time after booking the venue it has been so much harder to get it together and plan now that we’re at the 6-7month mark and things are consitently needing to be done on a weekly basis.
There are so many girls who are getting married after me on here and they have so.much.more.done!!! Or girls that have it all planned from the rehearsal dinner attire to day-of lip color (things I haven’t even begun to think about thinking about!)
Does anyone else suffer from this lack of motivation?! Or feeling that they are super behind the 8-ball?

my wedding was last july, but after booking the venue 11 months earlier, I didn’t do squat. I got my photographer like 4 of 5 months, hair/mu just 6 weeks, and ordered bouquets just 3 weeks before the wedding. Oh and did the table numbers and escort cards 2 weeks earlier too. I just lacked motivation to do anything.

I feel like I’m on top of most things, but we have two major items that are still missing: a minister and flowers. We are in (sloooooow) communication with the florist we really liked, so eventually we should get a contract in place. However, the search for a minister is taking much longer than I would have preferred. The relative we originally asked to be our officiant declined, and my fiancée is taking a pretty while to ask his minister-uncle. Should that not work out either, we’ll be in a hurry to find someone!
