Hi bees! I finally Picked up the makeup forever matte velvet foundation today and I really love it! I’m a makeup artist and have tried many foundations but never this one until today. Have any of you tried it or used it for your wedding day foundation? My skin is super oily but I feel like it’s holding up pretty well. I was originally going to pick up the Kat Von D lock it foundation but they were out so I got this one instead and so far I like it. Heres a few pics of it on me… (I know this bridal look is pretty dramatic and may be too much for some, but I loooove drama and so I prefer a heavier look)

I’ve never used it, but you look beautiful!
A heavier coverage is actually better anyway because a lot of your color will get washed out in the photos and this will help define your features better. It looks great!

Never used the Matte Velvet, but I’ve heard good things. I do use the HD foundation tho and It’s in my top 5. You look gorgeous, so maybe I should be trying the matte out asap, and your highlight is EVERYTHING! love it!

The more makeup the better if done well! Love it!

I LOVE it. I love makeup also and have probably 78346178651985 different kinds, and this is one of the ones I have sat there and considered buying a million times but didn’t pick up because I have really dry skin and didn’t want flaky skin. Now it is a MUST! It doesn’t look drying at all and the coverage is flawlessssss! How do you apply it? Do you use a blending sponge or brush?

What did you use for your highlighting under your eyes?

I didn’t think it held up well on my oily skin. Estée Lauder Double Wear is a lot better.

I second BeeinBoston’s question regarding the highlighting … it is absolutely amazing!!

Ohhh I love it! You need a tad more color on your lips though. Yeah, I know you’re a make-up artist… It just looks like you forgot about them. And they are so full and beautiful!

I used the Mat Velvet for my wedding, loved it! Recommend a powder or something though, if you’re running around for photos for a few hours. I did get a bit shiny in the middle of my forehead after 2 hours of photos!
