Not strange at all. My cousin just had her sister and her Fiance brother as the maid of honor and best man and it was great. It didnt feel like it was missing anything without any bridesmaid/grromsmen or bridesmaid/groomsmen dance. It was a very nice simple and fun wedding.

not strange at all, we originally were only going to have 1 of each, but then i’d have to pick between my 2 best friends, and we all 3 hang out egularly.  but FH said he couldnt decided between a set of friend (who are brothers themselves) that he grew up with and asked me if it would be ok to have 2 people, hooray!!!!

I don’t think it’s strange at all. We plan to have one Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man and then one Bridesmaid or Best Man and Groomsmen, so two people on each side. The fewer people the less stress and coordinating required.

Do whatever is right for you.  We have a best man, a maid of honour and three child bridesmaids.

FutureMrs.Cammack:  My Brother-In-Law had no wedding party at all, not even Maid/Matron of Honor and best man, and it was beautiful. The only official duties are Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man are to sign the wedding certificate, so at BIL’s wedding, two of the parents did this.

Depending on your family dynamics, I’d be wary of including one sister and not the others. But if you have an “excuse” that she’s the only one who’s an adult and you need someone to sign the license, you might be ok.

FutureMrs.Cammack:  Your wedding sounds very much like mine years ago.  Maid/Matron of Honor and BMan only with 75 guests.  It was perfectly fine.

One on each side would look quite normal. We’re having 4 bms and 2 gms so we’re uneven, but I figure no one is going to be in shock about it!
