naturalflight :  We did exactly what you are describing in your first paragraph. Our venue was an outdoor garden, we are in our late 30’s, and it just didn’t seem necessary or applicable or nice to make people boogie on down the lane while someone yells their name.

Our bridal party will be introduced one couple ata time and they will dance to the song Your Love Amazes Me by John Berry

We are doing it but not requiring anyone to do a silly dance. It’s just a way to spotlight your wedding party and I feel it marks the beginning of the reception. We are all being announced to Black Betty, which is the Best man’s favorite song. It’s a little suprise for him.

Skip it and have your MC acknowledge each person, perhaps they can stand or raise a hand. I HATED dancing into a room of strangers at my friends wedding. SO AWKWARD.
