Okay bees, I need some music help.
I’m finalizing my music lists this week and it’s struck me, I don’t have a song for the bridal party to walk into the reception!
I’m having a hard time coming up with one, which is kinda unual for me. I love music!
I really like the song “Forever” by Chris Brown. It’s fun, dancey, and the lyrics are pretty appropriate. BUT there’s the whole taboo thing about Chris Brown. I don’t want to get into an argument on that, but I just don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, or if it’s even appropriate at a wedding.
So, anyway! What songs are you using? I need some ideas, I can’t come up with anything good. Or am I overthinking the Chris Brown song? Will no one care?

@thisorderistall: I think you might be overthinking it a little bit. If you really worried about it you should just use an insturmental version of the song. I don’t think your guests will care cuz they are all waiting to see u arrive anyways. 🙂

I am going through the same thing right now. I also like the forever song by Chris Brown. Another song is Let’s Get Married by Jagged Edge. But I can’t make up my mind.

We’re introducing the girls and guys separately. The girls are coming in to “Run The World (Girls)” by Beyonce and the guys are coming in to “Big Pimpin” by Jay-Z (just the instrumental). My fiance and I are coming in to “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce & Jay-Z.
You should check out “End of Time” by Beyonce. The lyrics are awesome, and it sounds like a march. If we were doing the whole bridal party together, this is definitely what I would have picked!
Also, no one will care about Chris Brown. If you love that song, go for it!

This is awesome!!
I never thought about making it a lively walk for the bridesmaids!
I’m think about the song “Make Up Kisses” from the movie PS I Love You as their song — it’s really sweet, but definitly not as exciting!

Thanks guys! I know I tend to overthink things so it’s good to get advice.
thank you for the suggestion. Can’t believe I haven’t heard that, I love it!! I might pick that song anyway, it’s great.

@thisorderistall: If you like the song, you should use it. I don’tthink anyone will care that it’s Chris Brown. As for us, we had the bridal party walk in to an instrumental version of Bittersweet Symphony.

We used Michael Jackson’s “The way you make me feel” for the bridal party entrance.

Fiance and I are being introduced to Fancy by Drake. It’s kind of funny because our ceremony is a lot of indie and mellow music and then all our introductions are rap/hip-hop and some dupstep. We have quite the eclectic taste in music.

I love that!! It’s on our must play list at the reception. Our party is walking into Moth’s Wings by Passion Pit. It’s such a great song! So beautiful and really builds the excitement! There is even a line about “diamind wedding rings”. OP, I’m not sure if it’s your taste, but I really love it!

We had a weird mishmash: the parents entered to ‘start me up’ by the stones, the groomsmen entered to ‘sharp dressed man’ by zz top, the girls to ‘sexyback’ by jt, and DH and I entered to ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ by the Darkness.

We’re doing Good Time by Owl City for us. Not sure about the bridal party yet.

Passion Pit is great! We used passion pit’s “little secrets” as our recessional song. Not the most appropriate lyrically, but how are you not happy when you hear those first couple of notes! We figured after they say “husband and wife” we want something that makes us the happiest! The bridal party got announced to MJ and we walked into Pit bull’s “Don’t stop the party”.

@thisorderistall: Another great, upbeat song along the lines of Chris Brown is “Adorn” by Miguel. Another song we wish we could have incorporated into our intro. Thw words are great for a wedding and it’s super upbeat and fun!
