- Wedding: June 2012
I decided to start on the wedding party gift bags- have several DIY projects planned, and don’t want to have a backlog in the spring when work is busy! We each have 4 members of our posse, with my two brothers on my side and his sister on his, and we are both friends with everyone so the gifts will be from both of us. Also, as there are 3 ladies in the party, they will wear the same dress and each have a [email protected] pair of personality shoes that I will be buying for them, plus I get some bonding time shoe shopping!
I wanted to start collecting other fun gifts as I don’t consider me buying them something to be used in the wedding a great gift, and there will be no generic lotion or decorative soaps from me. So I decided to make a reusable grocery bag to put things in to start things off- most of us live in Chicago, and don’t have cars so a good bag sturdy enough to bike with is always appreciated. And they are surprisingly easy! The ladies have a bright blue canvas and the men will have navy canvas, with everyone having a different, personal lining. For example, the one in the pics below is for a groomsman we play poker with every week!
The penguin fabric will line his sisters, and I’m going to make a mini bag for her daughter, the flower girl 🙂
Hope you like everything… I am glad I’m starting this early- I’m sure time will fly by! So back to work!
