I’m having my bridal portraits taken on Sunday (yay!). Do any of you have any hints or tips to make it go smoothly? They’re being taken at a historic mansion in the area. I’m going to get my hair done first, and I’ll DIY my own makeup (just like I’ll do for the wedding). I’m also going to get my ring cleaned and my nails done. I plan to bring:
1) My Maid/Matron of Honor.
2) My bouquet.
3) My dress, jewelry, shoes, and mask.
4) Water and a couple of non-messy snacks.
Any other ideas, bees?

why are you having bridal pics done now?

@Carolyn72: I’m three months out, and the photographers said this is when they’re usually done, especially if we want to display one of the photos at the reception.
And thank you!

A sheet to match the color of your dress! You can stand/sit on it and not worry about getting your dress dirty. Then when you are settled, you just tuck it in underneath you so it can’t be seen.
Its especially helpful for outdoor shots.

@dallasbride2012: That’s actually a fantastic idea. Thank you!
