Maid/Matron of Honor usually does the bridal shower, but there is no etiquette around it except that the brides typically shouldn’t ask or host one for herself. It looks tacky.

Pre wedding acitivites depend…some people have engagement party, bridal shower, bachlorette party, bridal luncheon (unless that’s the same as a bridal shower? I dunno because I never had one), and a rehearsal dinner. I had a bridal shower about 2 months before my wedding, hosted by my Maid/Matron of Honor, a low-key bachlorette party again hosted by my Maid/Matron of Honor, and a rehearsal supper the night before the wedding, which my in-laws paid for and hosted at their house.

You can give out the gifts at the luncheon or the day of the wedding. Whenever you want to. I bought flowers for my girls’ hair and gave it to them the day of the wedding.
