Is someone planning your shower to know if people have even rsvp’ed that they are coming? I wouldn’t worry about it if people are coming… a lot of people just like to go shopping the day before!

ETA: and do you know if people were able to find out where you were registered?

There are also a lot of people who might be getting you something that’s off-registry for your shower and reserving the registry stuff for your wedding gift.

Hey! My shower is next weekend and nothing so far yet either. My registries are defiently on the invites…as I recieved one of them so that I could scrapbook it.

I usually buy a gift the day before or even the morning of…because the way I think is why worry about it when you have a list that tells you what to get/ =P

And yeah, some people like to get more personal gifts for showers, so I’m not expecting to see a great deal off my registry.

I just sent out my invites and I already stalk my registry! LOL even though I know there is no way anyone would buy anything yet

scratch that…I had checked this morning and there was nothing but now I see 6 items have been purchased…wow! Just kitchen gadgets but how exciting. I hope you see some “fulfilled” items soon too!!

@MIBEETOWED:  I only had a small number of items purchased a week before my shower. Then, 2 days before, a TON of things were purchased… plus I got a couple things that were on the registry but were not marked off- could be a cashier or technical error. A lot of people procrastinate shopping. Also, we got a lot of gift cards, so maybe people will get you those!

My shower is in a week and so far we’re in the same boat – nothing. Sometimes people print out registries and then forget to have them scanned when they check out.

Sorry I have to ask, are you really getting married in January and already having your shower?

As for the registry….we got almost everything we asked for.  I didn’t have a bridal shower and our wedding was so close to Christmas that our Moms finished it off for us.  I just bought a couple a gift for their Destination Wedding (we didn’t go) and they registered for over 300 items…most of them over $100.  Which isn’t all that bad but a $200 pillow….yikes.  The couple only got maybe 25 items.

I’m willing to bet people are going to get you gift cards or may be price shopping.

Don’t worry yet.  I think about 75% of people go shop the morning of the shower.  🙂
