@lilchicana:  Horray for fiesta!

My mom buys a Fiesta set for me every christmas… so we decided to put a good ‘general use’ dinning set on ours…  But there is ton of other fiesta there too!

but the more i looked at fiesta the more i wanted them! we may decide to go for both, but today it’s just fiesta. who knows what i’ll want tomorrow, lol

Our everyday dining set is Winter Frost Corelle — can’t get any plainer than that. But here’s our china pattern! I love that it is formal without being fussy; it should match with lots of different tablecloths; and it is dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe.

@red_pepper_gal:  We chose the Sophie conran as well! We’re doing a mix of the white, celadon blue, and biscuit (which is basically yellow).  I love the uniqueness of the bowls as well.  We are accenting things with some serving pieces from the Lennox chirp pattern.  I freaking love it, but there’s no way Fiance would agree to it for our main pattern, so we compromised with the accent pieces.

@cemetree:  Oooo, I love the Chirp! If I had done china, I think this would have been it! (I registered for the runner, at least!)

We went for fiesta just like  @lilchicana: did… We wanted bright and colorful and I couldn’t find a patterned set that had the right colors… We basically got a light and dark blue (peacock and cobalt) and a light and dark green (lemongrass and shamrock)…. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look… I can’t wait to get more ๐Ÿ™‚

We are going with French Countryside by Mikasa. I really wanted to get something plain! I tend to get sick of patterns easily.

I’m a potter, so I love using handmade stuff.  DH and I registered for a bunch of specific pieces of functional art instead of getting a normal set.  What we have now is a very eclectic art collection that we just so happen to eat off of.  Here are a few of the pieces we got for our wedding:

Gravy boat by Alazana on Etsy:

Plate by Megan Daloz on Mudfire Pottery:

Plate by kristenkswanson on Etsy:

Plate by inaeent on Etsy:

Eating at our place is a really exciting experience because our guests get to choose each plate, cup, bowl, etc. from our collection.  ๐Ÿ˜€
