We didn’t really feel the need to register for china, but this is the Corelle pattern we registered for:

We prefer simpler dinnerware, as FH is a pretty good cook and wants the food to be the star!  So for every day dinnerware we registered for noritake colorwave:

For fine china, we selected Lenox Federal Platinum:

@pecanpie:  I like that!  Looks like something I would get for myself. 🙂  I am with you on preferring the simpler, plainer dinnerware!

We actually put two different kinds on our registry (one that is more casual for daily use and one set of fine china for parties and special occasions). We figure we will be happy with one or another but it wouldn’t hurt us to have both if that does end up happening. 🙂

Daily Set (by Sango Dinnerware):

Special Occasion Set (by Mikasa):

@Jenlon:  Thanks!  I really need to get our collection professional photographed, both for insurance reasons and so I can post it online and show it off.  I love our art collection so much.

@AshleyR83:  We got the EXACT Noritake ones but in the square design:) We got 2.. I have to go get the other 4 sets with the GCs I got.  We aren’t a china couple but you ladies have chosen some gorgeous pieces!

We looked for: durable, microwaveable, dishwasher safe… classy, no? lol!  When the gal at BB&B slammed the cup into the wall to show us how strong they were, we were sold!

Oooh, I love this thread!

It took a lot of convincing, but my fiance finally realizes the value of china (I hope?)  Anyway, we registered for it!  Hehe

Crate & Barrel’s Harper fine bone china with platinum edges:

I love that it is classic with just a little unique touch on the edges.  It is hard to see the cool speckled effect on the set pic, so here is the teacup for the detail:

I’m completely in love with this set – I hope we at least get a few settings!

Marchesa for Lenox Rose set. I couldn’t resist. We also are being gifted matching champagne glasses.

The selling point was that it was pretty and dishwasher safe. I’m a lazy fart so it was the winner.
