I wanted to be able to dress our everyday sets up or down (since we didn’t register for fine china), so we went with C&B Roulette, which has faint rings (also for the fact that it is named after FI’s favorite casino game). I love it and hope we get all our settings!! It’s one of the few things I absolutely LOVE on our registry (since Fiance did most of the registering since he is the cook).

Our  everyday is Mikasa Italian Countryside and fine china is Ralph Lauren Silk Ribbon Pearl. We chose Italian Countryside because it’s classic, photographs well (we cook a lot and like to photograph the best meals), and will be in production for a while if we want to add on or replace broken pieces.

EDIT: We had a full 12 plate setting set of Noritake colorwave (in green) and a bunch of accent pieces form my previous marriage. I could not wait to get rid of it. I can’t explain how boring it got really fast and how depressing the white/ivory inside was. I swear the problem was not emptional b/c of my ex, because the formal china I love and kept (along with lots of other stuff). I loved the Noritake when we first got it, but I regretted it after just a few months. My BFF has a similar set though, and she is completely happy with it.

@FutureMrsFishy:  My sister got the Mikasa Parchment for her wedding china and yes, it is that gorgeous! I’m kind of jealous she got to it first.

My fine china to match my great grandmother’s silverware. It’s Vera Wang Lace for Wedgwood.

My regular dishes for meat.

My dairy dishes are vintage Noritake from my grandmother. Fine china from the 60s/70s with a floral pattern and green border.

Tack me on as another fiesta ware bride. I loooove that stuff sooo much. Currently we have the turquise and ivory. I’m considering incorportating the lemongrass or peacock in as well.

We chose this simple set from Crate & Barrel.  I love that it’s so versatile.  We’ve picked out a couple fun placemats so far that totally change the look.

We registered for this set:

http://www.vivaterra.com/dining-kitchen/dinnerware/stone-contour-dinnerware.html

but its been sold out since February and there’s no notification that its due back in stock any time soon.  We’ll wait until a week or so before the invites come out, and if its not back, we’ll have to delete it ๐Ÿ™

If anyone has seen something similar in the vast world of the interwebz, please let me know!!

@Mrs.Snickerdoodle:  i love those placemats! but my fiance would probably hate them. anything with any kind of circular pattern he vetoes. i don’t get it.

@AshleyR83:  DH and I chose Lenox Federal Platinum for our formal china, too!

I have several sets of beautiful casual dishes as well as a gorgeous set of fine china that my dad brought back from Korea and intended for my mom, who was his Fiance at that time. However, my mom loved the set that my dad sent to my grandmother, so they switched, and my grandmother never even took that set originally intended for my mom out of the boxes. Instead, she saved it for the daughter my dad would one day have — me! The pattern and colors are absolutely PERFECT for me and the decor I chose for my home! However, I still wanted to register for an elegant plain set of china that would go with everything — including fall and Christmas linens — and that was the Lenox Federal Platinum! ๐Ÿ™‚

@cemetree:  That is lovely and cheerful! I’ve admired that set for awhile now.

@village_skeptic:  That is so beautiful! And dishwasher safe! Who makes that? I’ve never seen it before.

@Meowkers:  I love, love, love yellow! In fact, I just ordered a new set of casual dishes — in a pattern that has been discontinued but that I really liked many years ago (bought some from Replacements and some from eBay) — because of the yellow and white border. (The dinner plates for my current everyday dishes — which also have a lot of yellow in them — have started to chip now that a whole family (hubby and stepkids and I) have been using them regularly.)
