@garden_bride:  We aren’t doing fine china (I find it a waste for us, I’d rather have shower guests purchase items we will use regularly), just casual. I’m ALL for white — it will always match, and it is clean and crisp. You can always get a set of colored/paterned salad plates to put on top, and you can get colored napkins/napkin rings/place mats/chargers to go with any/every season! 🙂 Just my opinion!! I didn’t want to be married to a color of dishes!

@Mrs.Snickerdoodle:  Our ideas exactly!! We did C&B dishes, too. Although we ended up doing one of those mix-and-match sets.

@hopefloats:  I’m not a huge pattern-lover when it comes to dishes, but I LOVE yours!!!!!!!!!!

@cemetree:  I’ve been in love with chirp since the first time I saw it…but it really doesn’t go with our kitchen and I knew DH wasn’t really into it. I just love it, though!

We have fiestaware in turquoise, lemongrass and shamrock.

@GreenEyedMoon:  SO. COOL. We have some friends who are potters as well, an EXACTLY THIS. We love eating at their place because the settings are so cool! They also tend to give things they’ve made, which I also totally dig.

@village_skeptic:  Awesome!  Do they have a website or anything?  I would love to take a look at their stuff.  🙂

Fiesta Wear ladies, you might want to check out Dillards. I was purchasing a set and found it much cheaper there than through anyone else.

We are doing this one: Lenox French Pearl. I adore it! It will look so great with our stemless wine glasses, vintage juice classes and other random rustic/elegant decor 🙂

We are going with Pottery Barn Emma. It is perfect for our vintage/rustic style plus we could pair it with just about any stemware and flatware!

We love entertaining and feeding people, but we also change our minds up frequently, so we went with some pretty economical choices from Target. We got two sets of the black dinnerware, one blue set, and one red set. Then we can mix and match up the sets so that the colors pop off the black dishes. (Plus, I wasn’t a fan of the bowls with the black sets, so the color sets gives us some better bowls to use for ceral and such.)

We went with the 222 Fifth Bella Vista dishes from Bed Bath and Beyond  I love all the colors and the pattern. I wasn’t sure if I should get a pattern because I was afraid it would go out of style, but then my mom told me that she loves her dishes now as much as when she got them and she does use them all the time. I am so happy that we decided to break the white mold and get something unique!
