I had been looking everywhere online on how ppl make bridal sashes with rhinestones, and couldnt find anything. While looking I saw a ton of similar styles on sashes for some sellers on etsy (not saying all to not offend sellers on etsy) so I looked for some rhinestone supplies, and found alot of triming that looked REALLY familiar. I really liked this one sash that was 6 rows of rhinestones with pearls in between, with a ribbon sash.
So, I found 10 yards of single row rhinestone banding, some E-6000 and 3 yards of 2 inch ribbon that matched my dress.
I cut 6 peices of 18 inch of the banding, layed them out to space then on the ribbon evenly, marked it, then put a row of glue and stuck the first row I made sure to pull tight and move then so they were exactly parrell (sorry for my sp) with the top of the ribbon. I let it set for 5 min.
I layed the next string of glue and lined it up off stone and squished it to the first line. I repeated it over for 6 rows.
Finally I reaized I must have squished too far up and had to cut and add one more row (YAY for buying in surplus!!)
I havent bought the pearls yet, so I can make sure I buy the right ones to fit in the gaps, but I really like it without too, so I am winging it now. ALso I have adges to the extra ribbon, so let me know if I should add extra rows?? look better or worse with pearls? Thank you!!
$20, but tecnically $8 for a rhinestone sash!
