Maybe you can help me…I’m going to go dress shopping in the next few months, and while I know what I want, I don’t know if it really exists outside of David’s Bridal (of which many designs I’m definitely not a fan of aside from a single Vera Wang dress that isn’t even available in white). I’m searching for a ball gown (the more cupcake shape, not A-line), perferably with a tulle skirt and not a lot of bling or lace or extras like that, and preferably sleeveless as I’ll be wearing a faux fur shrug. Problem is I’m on a REALLY tight budget, and sadly anything less than $700 seem to be the more simple, sheath style dresses, never anything with a poofy skirt. Am I out of luck?

Why would a salon sell a nonrefundable mermaid crinoline to a bride purchasing a ‘standard length’ dress when she repeatedly tried on the salon’s mermaid crinoline with their ‘long length’ sample dress?  Why wouldn’t they say, ‘u know this would probably make ur standard length dress too short, maybe u should just have an extra layer sewn in by the seamstress to keep the flare from going out too far off the floor’?

Also, why would they sell a $400 designer veil (in white) that takes 4 months to manufacture without first checking that it is actually available in white instead of calling back 2 months later saying ‘its only available in ivory’?

Also, why wouldn’t they give a bride a heads up that THE actual gown ordered is likely not going to fit the same way they have clipped the sample up in the back?

This is great!!! I have a question, what can I do my butt look so flat on my dress, it is a lace mermaid gown, I am a C cup, and that make me look more buttless :(!!! Help!

I tried on over 60 gowns in many, many different stores, almost gave up, and then I put on the dress I have ordered. I felt special, happy, and beautiful. I stopped looking for what I wanted to change/what was missing in the gown and I was just happy to be in it. I LOVED IT. Now, since ordering,I am having a hard time remembering that feeling because it is very different from what I went in wanting. Should I keep looking or hold onto the feeling I had?
