MONTANAROSEMEG:  Thank you so much for answering our questions! I am so excited to talk with you. One consultant had mentioned to me to never order a dress in a color other than that which the designer sends as a sample gown or has photographed. She said the designer only sends these dresses in the color that it looks best in. She advised me to not order in any other color.

My favorite gown is the Pronovias Bolera and the sample was in pastel blush/beige. I love how the silver crystals on the top just sparkle! Unfortunately the dress looks really pink to me and I would want to order in off-white/ivory. I just cant find ANY store that has it in this color, and I’m scared that I’ll order it and that it will look like a totally different dress in ivory.

Does the color of the gown change the look that much? Do you think it is unwise to order in a color that the designer doesn’t send out in sample? I SO appreciate your expertise!

I just had my measurements done for Casablanca 1975 today and maybe you can help me stop stressing over this. My measurments are all over the place. My consultant recommended that I get a size 2 but I insisted on a size 4 because my hips (37) are larger than a 2 and aren’t you supposed to go with the biggest measurment? Please put my mind at ease that I made the right call. She’s not putting the order in till Monday so I still have time to change the size if I was wrong. What do you think?

MONTANAROSEMEG:  Thank you so much for starting this thread!

I made a rush decision this summer and ordered a strapless, chiffon Diane Harbridge gown. I still love certain elements of the dress but do have quite a lot I want to change to make it into my perfect dress and am just wondering a) is it even possible? And b) will it be expensive?

I am wanting the straight across back altered into a slight v (it’s button back), then a lace back and cap sleeves build up with buttons carrying on from the dress up to the top of the lace. I am also wanting the a-line skirt fitted more around my hips to give it a little more shape (just slight, not as much as trumpet or mermaid).

I ordered the dress in a UK 16 but am losing weight so am now a UK 14 (hoping to be UK 12 for the wedding in june). Dress is due in dec/jan

Thanks so much in advance
