I work at a bridal salon and unfortunately this is just how most shops are. It is really bad on their part that they didn’t make you sign anything saying all sales are final. I know where I work we state that many times and have people sign that they know all sales are final. The only thing we will do is if someone wants to cancel their order they forfeit their deposit and we keep the dress.

I’m pretty sure sample dresses are usually final sale.

You can always post a pic of you in the dress – I’m sure we can boost you back up so you love it again πŸ™‚

@Chelwilly:  Sorry but I have never heard of a bridal salon refunding money due to dress regret. You could always sell it online or place an ad here on the bee classifieds good luck.

How could bridal salons run a finacially viable buisness if they allowed refunds for dress regret? Sample dresses are final sale.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), the bridal industry is not built around repeat customers.  They don’t have any incentive to give you a refund, because unlike a regular clothing retailer, they’re not going to be getting your regular business for years to come.

I’m glad you found your dream dress though!

@chelwilly I did have to mark it down by 35%. I actually found dress #2 at David’s Bridal, where they DO do exchanges.i’m not sure the whole boutique experience was worth the $400 that I lost.
