Going to NYC and need to know where to shop for nice bridal shoes and jewelry. Looking for stuff that you would find on the BHLDN.com website — vintage, romance, glamour…
Please send any recos my way!
Thanks, all 😉

what’s your budget? if you want something higher end ($4k+), make appointments at kleinfeld, saks, mark ingram atelier, bergdorf goodman bridal. if you have a nice budget but don’t want to break the bank ($2k+), make appointments at pronovias, wedding atelier, vera wang, kleinfeld, bridal reflections. if you have a small budget, make an appointment at bridal garden (samples), macy’s or go to rk bridal. try to look at photos of the styles you want to try on on the shop’s website. i found my appointments to be most productive when i was prepared, and brought in style#s i want to try on 🙂 have fun!

I did most of my shopping online.

I did my shopping online and especially Etsy.com. The markup on prices here is rediculous.

I got my dress at Birnbaum & Bullock — it was my favorite atmosphere of all the stores I visited: very easy going, not pushy, and they pin you into the dresses rather than clamp you, which I appreciated. They have a pretty good range of prices.

Any of the bigger Dept stores have nice stock and would be less expensive.
- JC Penney’s
- Sak’s Fifth Avenue
You can always order from My Glass Slipper (David Tutera gets shoes for his brides there)

Just wanted to second Lovely Bridal. I had a great experience there. And if you like the bhldn/anthro look you’ll like it there.
