totally not weird!! definitely post on the knot and see if any girls are meeting up over there (sometimes they do meet ups)…. but if you go by yourself be careful there will be vendors who will go bonkers lol oh she’s a bride blah blah blah…

Not at all!  I went to one myself too before we were officially planning or officially engaged (not telling parents yet).  I think as long as you are a person who can go places alone and not feel like you are going to freak out being by yourself then do it!

PS – Don’t sign up for the free giveaway thing they have, you will end up getting a million spam emails and phone calls from those things!

agree sort of… if you are interested in the vendor then sign up, sometimes they have giveaways at their booths…

Do it! You’re a big girl… I have faith in you! 🙂 It’s a sign of a very independent & strong woman to be able to do things by herself… you’d be amazed at how many women can’t do anything without a posse.

The giveaways I was talking about were the general one that some bridal shows have.  Right when you walk in they have a booth or table to sign up for a free honeymoon or something.  But I think a giveaway at a specific vendor booth would be just fine since hopefully you like their work!

@missasb: lol i knew the one you meant!! lol!! i just didn’t want silent readers to think they shouldn’t sign up for anything ever! they’d miss out on some really cool deals, etc.

Aw, I wish I lived nearby and I’d go with you.  I think you should go! This way you can take your time and look at things you’re interested in without having anyone else bugging you.

i’d say go anyway! although it’s good to go with people you know, you may end up meeting cool people there and getting out of it everything you wanted. it will be good recon at the very least!
