I was wondering if any one had any fun Bridal shower games. One of my BM’s is getting married and I am her Maid/Matron of Honor so I am throwing her Bridal Shower. I really don’t like bridal shower games but she wants to have some so I have no problem planning some but I can’t find any that I think would be fun with out being too cheesy. Did anyone have any games that they loved at their shower. I really want her and her guests to enjoy themselves!

My girls did mad libs at my shower, it was hilarious! Also, they asked my (then)FI 20 questions and then asked me the same ones and I had to guess what his answer was. That was also highly entertaining! (Things like ‘what was his first car’, ‘if he could be any animal, what would he be’, ‘what is his favorite thing about me’, ‘what is my most annoying habit’ etc)
They also had everyone write their name & address on an envelope (also made my thank-you notes go faster!) and then drew names out of a box to give small gifts/favors/prizes to. I think they had a plant, a scented body wash & lotion set, a picture frame, and a few other little things.
I’m not super into games, but they struck a great balance between enough to keep us entertained & not going overboard with the cheesey games.

Bridal Shower Bingo is a good one. It keeps the guests entertained as the bride opens gifts (as that can get really tedious).
Another fun one we did for my sister’s shower is “Wedding Night Preview.” Basically I wrote down everything she said that could be misconstrued as she opened gifts (Ex: “Oh it’s so big!” “I can’t figure out how this fits in?” “You got me a red one!” “This will have to go in the back.”)
Then we put them in a hilarious order (i.e. we ended with, “Just don’t tell my husband about this!”), and read them outloud, “Things that might be heard from the Bridal Suite following the wedding…”
It was a hit!

We did a “bride or groom” question game. Listed 10 questions “who is the pickier eater,” “who has the most tatoos” etc & they had to circle a little bride head or groom head to answer.. whoever got the most right got a prize. Then we did Bridal Scattergories — pretty similar to the actual game. We used my initials as the letters you have to use for your answers, then all the catagories were wedding themed “a wedding flower,” “a honeymoon destination,” “a desired husband characteristic.” I also filled it out ahead of time, and whoever had the most matching answers with me won. Everyone really seemed to enjoy Scattergories, it was tough too! I thought those were more unique than the typical (and obnoxious) bridal bingo.
We also had everyone fill out their thank you envelope and I pulled a winner to get a prize.

I love the mad libs idea! I went to school to be an elementary teacher and while I was student teaching we would always do mad libs if we had a few minutes before leaving each day and they were always super fun! I am sure a bunch of ladies will have way more fun with them than my 5th graders!

@BeachBride2014: I am 100% doing the wedding night preview! I love that idea it sounds hilarious and its not even a cheesy game that people have to play!
@X0JLYNN03: I have gotten the best suggestions! The bride and I used to play scattergories all the time as kids (I know thats weird) so that would work perfectly!
Thanks everyone for the help!

@Meggiemae14: That would be perfect then!! I wish I had a picture of our “game board” to show you, they were really cute & everyone got a kick out of playing it!

@Meggiemae14: I know of one activity planned for my upcoming shower. On the invitations they included something that said “Please include on your RSVP a unique fact about yourself”. So then the hostess will make a bingo card with everyone’s factoids. Then guests will mingle and try to find whoever “Climbed Mt Everest”, or “Once met Brad Pitt”, or whatever it is. Seems like a fun way to get people talking and getting to know eachother better if they don’t already.
