My bridal shower and batchelorette party is being combined into one party as my maid of honor cant afford to do two seperate partys. how many ppl should be invited ? Is there anyone else here doing the same thing?

@DiamondnLovey: I’ve never heard of that.

@DiamondnLovey: One of my friends did that because she lived away and didn’t have the time to do both once she got home. It worked out fine! Just have the beginning of the party more like a shower, then transitiion into a bachelorette type party.

When I was talking to my mom about my shower and bachelorette parties she told me that they used to never do two separate. She said when She was younger they just had one party all the women attended, once it got later grandma and the kids went home and the party got raunchier as the night wore on.

My Maid/Matron of Honor is planning to do my bridal/bach parties on the same day as our friends and family live all over the place and would need to travel. This saves them from having to make multiple trips for wedding related stuff 🙂

My bridal shower and bachelorette party are the same weekend since I only wanted everyone to have to travel once. We’ll have the shower Saturday afternoon, then transition into a ladies party night, followed by wine tasting Sunday. there are about 30 people invites to the shower, then 6 to stay the weekend for the extra party.

I went to a shower/bachelorette party like this for my now Maid/Matron of Honor a few years ago. Her sister planned it from across the country, which why it was in one weekend. It was too much for me though–by the time they were ready to go out bar hopping I was BEAT, lol. Really fun day though!

I’m having a “boozy afternoon tea” type event – more like a shower than a bachelorette (in mood/vibe), except it’s not a present thing so not really a shower LOL.

Yes my moh lives about an hour and a half a way depending on weather and traffic. I love the combo idea though, and hope I get a lot of people that can make it.

My bridal shower was on a Saturday at 2pm. At 7pm we got supper then went back to the hotel to pregame and then headed to the bars. Since all of my Bridesmaid or Best Man were from out of town it was easiest for everybody to hold it on the same weekend. I think it worked out quite well!
