Not really, I mean, don’t get nuts with it, but hey, who doesn’t look great in a crisp white dress shirt?  I look at bridal showers like this, it’s the opportunity to wear all of the extra cute, ultra feminine, high fashion things I own and love and actually have someone else notice!  Men don’t pay attention to your shoes, your handbag, they just look to make sure you have both so you can leave the house already!  Have some fun with your ensemble!  There’s no such thing as overdressed!

I probably wouldn’t wear an all white dress (i was excited to wear a white summer dress to my own shower), but I think everything else is fair game.

@andielovesj:  I can see it now, a bride to be comes on the bee complaining that some b*tch wore a wedding dress to my bridal shower. Ha ha, that would be pretty hilarious, something like that couldn’t ever happen by accident.

I agree with what you wrote, as long as it isn’t a bridal gown you can go ahead and wear it.

The bride really only gets one day where only she is allowed in white, anyother time is free game.

Where I’m from it’s actually pretty normal that during summer bridal showers women wear white or pastels. It’s just super hot and ego gets thrown aside when you are dying in the sun.

It never occurred to me to wear white for my pre-wedding parties, but I’ve seen quite a few girls get excited on here to do so.

I don’t think it’s rude to wear white to a shower, but if you think the bride is the type of person to be excited to wear a white dress for it, I would just let her have that and go with a different colour or a print.

I would stay away from it but there is no rule.
