The idea of the dress is pretty but it looks really cheaply made. I think you could find something of better quality and more flattering (ie not see-through on top).

I think it does look good on, you love the sleeves but yes the see through front like could you wear a small white top underneath or even just a white bra top.

My bridal shower is the same day!!

i think with a nude bra, and a cute thin belt where the waist it would be perfect!  You could get a belt in your wedding color

I think it might look pretty with a light beige cami or full slip under it and a dusty rose or dusty blue or lavender ribbon belt.

handa:  I like this suggestion. OP I would definitely wear a skin color cami underneath. You can tuck it in to your underwear so it doesn’t slide up and no one will really know. Then you could use a colored belt – perhaps a way to bring in one of your wedding colors? And even a pair of heels in the same color!

KapOct18:  I agree with you, I don’t think it’s flattering. Wearing white (or whitish) to the shower is a new trend and I’m not sure why it started. Shades of white aren’t flattering on most people and limiting the choice to a single color (and a not very common dress color at that) really narrows the pool for finding something cute that also looks good. For a bachlorette it kind of makes a little sense — you’re usually out on the town and it’s fun to let people know who the bride is. But everyone at the shower knows who the bride is so I can’t figure it out. Have fun though. Maybe a belt would help. I’d look for a different dress in whatever color and style you usually feel great in.

If I’m being honest I don’t think this is a good choice. It’s not flattering and this will be a highly photographed day. I’d return it.

asos has a free returns policy, so you can get your 65 back… not saying you have to, just FYI.

I’m certain the model is wearing a white cami under her top, and wouldn’t just do a nude bra if I were you.

That said, I agree with PPS it’s not very flattering.. you have a month, perhaps return and try again?  Their shipping should get to you in 6 days anyway, right?

I’m a longtime asos customer (in fact, just ordered something 10 minutes ago hah) and so much of their stuff is cheap crap but it’s worth it because every so often you get a really reasonably priced great piece.  Take advangate of their free two way shipping, and just keep trying till you find something worth it.

I agree with PP. Sorry bee. I would not look good in this dress either. I think the only ones who could pull it off are tall. I’m blonde as well and find that only super bright white looks good on me or I look washed out. So many prettier dresses that will be gorgeous on you!

I’m thinking a thin black belt around your waist!

The shape of the dress is not at all flattering on you. I don’t think it can be fixed with a belt, sash or undergarments. It breaks you up into two pieces instead of one long line.

I think this dress would be more flattering as it doesn’t have such a defined waist. It also has a light apricot base which is often more flattering than white,

I don’t think it’s the most flattering dress either to be honest.  I would keep looking, maybe in a different color.  You don’t *have* to wear a shade of white at your shower…
