At one friend’s shower, the favors were little potted bamboo plants!  So cute, easy to take care of, and hey, who can’t use a little green to brighten up their home?

At my shower, my sisters baked and frosted sugar cookies in Fiance and my initials and put them in mini Chinese take-out boxes in our wedding colors.

At another shower, the favors were a plastic set of measuring spoons and cups.

I bought teacups off ebay (depression glass) and made soy candles! It only took me about an hour and it was super easy!

What a great idea. Would you be willing to share how you made the candles? Thanks

I heard of one couple that purchased some lottery tickets. They placed the tickets inside of an envelope along with a note that said “Lucky in Love”.

I loved the ideaSmile

My girls did mini bottles of merlot, which were cute and totally fit the Italian theme of our co-ed wedding shower.  I posted pics when I wrote about the shower!

My mom once got a compact umbrella at a shower.  She still talks about it today.

I asked for each guest to bring a favorite recipe and gifted them one of mine in return.  Since it was a risotto recipe, I filled a bag with the necessary amount of the dried rice, then attached the recipe and a fabric flower to the front.  Cute, inexpensive, and easy!
