I hate hate HATE bridal shower games.  I honestly usually go to the bathroom during this part of the shower and “miss” them, or have to take an urgent call, or do whatever I can to get out of them.

I don’t mind bridal shower games but I HATE games that try to make you mingle. Like you said, I would sit with my group and just don’t really want to make small talk with those I don’t know (I know, I’m an adult but really, I would just rather not).

When it comes to something like games, I don’t really understand why the MOB wouldn’t just go along with what her daughter wanted.

Anyways, my Maid/Matron of Honor put together an awesome price is right game with some of my favorite products (I watch Price is Right whenever I have off of work). I also like the Bingo game because it breaks up gift opening a bit.

I had about five games at mine:

1. Someone here mentioned the how many kisses for the soon to be Mrs. That isn’t so much a game so you can have that on the side, it is easy. And you can make it a prize for whoever guessed the closest to the amount of candy in the jar.

2. Toilet paper wedding dress game. I did not like this one too much because I felt it was a waste of toilet paper ahaha but basically teams would just gather together and make a dress out of toilet paper and the bride chose the winner. This one was one I would not recommend anyone else doing because it does waste toilet paper and also it is something that requires a lot more mingling and action and some of my guests did not seem into that. Like many posts here have said, some people do not like games because of the mingling aspect

3. They also had the guess the brides age game. Games like these are ok because it does not require mingling

4. He said she said: they had a paper and it would say a statement such as WHO BROUGHT UP MARRIAGE FIRST and then the guest would need to guess if it as bride or groom.. this is also one of those games that do not require mingling. This one was fun because when they announced the answers it was very shocking to some or people got to learn more about us through the game.

5. Finally we had this funky ring toss game. That was fun.

I think it is ok to have games. If you feel your crowd will not mingle then just have ones where they do not need to mingle with others to play such as the he said she said game.

Good luck!
