My FH and I currently do not own a home/apartment. We will probably be buying one soon after the wedding. Do I still request for home gifts and put it in storage for now? Or is there a different protocol for these situations. Please help! Thanks!

Ya! If home stuff is what u want, put it in storage or an extra room?

When we registered we were told to think about the next 10 years, and what we would need. If you think you will need homegoods in the next 10 years, then yeah, register away! I know there is some etiquette apprehension on home or honeymoon registeries, but those are out there, too…

@vhmarie89: yes you can still.

I would say definitely! We are in the same situation and plan on buying a house as soon as our bank account(s) recover from the wedding. lol. But we will definitely be registering for home gifts and just storing them in our apartment until we have more space to unpack. 🙂

@vhmarie89: Yes!!!! Put it in storage, or keep it at a family member’s/friend’s house for safe keepings!!(that’s our plan too!) When you do purchase a house, you will be SO busy that you’ll be happy that you don’t have to go run out to the store for these important items!

Yeah, I would register for it and leave it boxed up until you get someplace permanent! That way nothing breaks when you move!
That’s what we’re doing, at least!

Thanks for all the great input! That’s definitely what I will do!
