My personal favorite was the toilet paper wedding dress.  We were split into teams of 4, each team picked one person to be a model, then had 2 or 3 minutes to create a wedding dress on the model with just toilet paper – we weren’t even given tape!  The bride picked the winning team at the end, and we got prizes.  LOL!

We had a lot of fun with the toilet paper dresses. My mom gave us needle and thread, fabric scraps and ribbon in addition to the toilet paper though. It let us get a lot more creative.

I went to a scrapbook shower once that was really fun. They had all sorts of supplies (the bridesmaids are big scrapbookers and they got a lot of stuff on sale for it) and everybody made a page. We were told to bring our favorite picture with the bride in it, and if somebody forget they had a camera and computer and just took the picture and printed it out right there. At the end, the bride had a beautiful scrapbook.

Another idea, for my SIL’s we went to a paint your own pottery place. Everyone painted a tile and they attached all the tiles to a mirror, so she has a really pretty mirror to remember her shower by.

Eh I personally hate shower games.  For mine we are only doing two thank goodness. I am not sure what ones though.  Honestly I like the scrapbooking idea or maybe a bead party making jewelry.  Do something other than games.

@atmbtm: I hate repeating games but we enjoyed the toilet paper game at a friends shower but I also LOVE the clothes pin game, where you can’t say the bide and groom’s name or the word wedding. Martha Stewart had an interesting game where as each guest arrives you write on a small index card how they know the bride in abbreviation form, for example, the bride’s life long best friend would be BLLBF and the other guests have to guess what it stands for/how each person knows the bride! Good Luck!

I like the scrapbook idea- it isn’t cheesy but it’s fun and keeps people occupied during the boring gift opening portion. 🙂

I’m going to write up a list of questions and record my friend’s Fiance answering them to stage a mini-newlywed game of sorts. I won’t take up too much time with it since there’s not a lot of guest participation, but I think it will be fun for a little bit.
