SO my bridal shower is comming up FAST! I am a curvy gal….carry weight evenly distributed….My shower is at the end of July….so it’ll be HOT outside….I am looking at a few different things to wear….
first option is:
with: a plain with tank top….long gold and pearl necklace with strappy gold sandals
or this dress in either red or white….again with strappy gold sandals….and simple earrings
Our Colors are red and black….but there is NO WAY I am wearing black ANYTHING during July….I am also worried about good ol aunt flo showing up around that time….so I am nervous about wearing all white….Its in the afternoon (starts at like 4pm)…and a fairly casual event (not jeans and t-shirts but like casual dresses or kakhis type thing…)
Help…Im stuck….and i should add….I already own the skirt, shoes and jewelry, and the dress can be here by that time if i pay rush shipping….
what do you guys think…what would be more bridal shower appropriate for the bride to be….
(I am 5’3…plus size, larger chest, slight tummy but will be wearing my slimmer….and i am kinda pale….long hair will probably be half up and curled…)…

Soonerbee07: You are the future bride so I think the dress in white will look fabulous. You want to stand out among everyone else and I am sure lots of girls will be wearing maxis.

I actually prefer the maxi skirt and if you already own it, why buy something else? To me, the dress looks a bit wintery, too.

I love the maxi skirt outfit! That’s what I was thinking of wearing to mine in Sept.
Have fun girl!

I like the maxi skirt! I would probaby wear it with a losser more flowy top if you have a bit of a tummy.

I think for your shower you should be a little dressier than a Maxi skirt. I am a bit curvy and I got my dress from the Dress Barn. It made me look a lot smaller than I am and wasn’t skin tight. (this was in the winter in Chicago so I liked the sleeves too)
