I’m really sad because I made 20 bridal shower invitations for a girl who is marrying my husband’s cousin. My mother-in-law was supposed to host the shower and I told her I’d help by making the invites. I spent a lot of time making them and quite a bit of money on the supplies too. I shipped them to my mother-in-law last week so she could fill in the details on the invites and now tonight I just heard that the girl decided she didn’t want a bridal shower. This is three weeks before the shower and right before we were going to send the invites out. My mother-in-law and I are a little upset. Everyone had already made plans and planned most of the games/food for the shower. I understand it’s stressful to be a bride (because I was there last year too!), but jeez, out of respect for everyone planning this event it would have been nice to have heard from her a bit earlier than 3 weeks out….
Anyways, I’m wondering if anyone would want to buy these invites from me? I spent a lot of time on them and I’d hate to see them go to waste. Luckily my mother-in-law didn’t fill in any of the info on the back yet, so they can still be geared toward your own shower or the shower you are hosting. I did however address the envelopes so there wouldn’t be any envelopes for sale with them. I purchased mine at Michaels with a 50% off coupon. They were the metallic copper envelopes by Recollections, 10 for $2.50 with the coupon.
I have around 19 or 20 invites available. I think I will be able to throw in the embossed envelope seals too, as long as my mother-in-law didn’t already stick them on the envelopes (I doubt she did yet).
