My SHower is on Saturday. THe venue (its a royal wedding tea party theme) charges a price per person that has to be paid on Thursday. Id say approx half of the guests invited didn’t rsvp. Can I call them? When is too early and when is too late to make calls?

The hosts of the shower (usually the bridal party) should be making the calls. It’s considered rude to hose your own shower, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for you to call for RSVPs

@VAwife: ditto. Have someone else call for you.

I should have clairified! I meant to say that my sister who is hosting the shower would be making the calls, but is it too early for her to make the calls? is she supposed to wait until wednesday or something?

@Misswa2011: I think most people would have firmed up their plans by early next week, so your sister calling on Tuesday is probably okay.

@Misswa2011: oh okay 🙂 I think it’s okay for her to call. She will probably have to leave a message for some of the people, so she will need time to follow up with them.

Yes have her call, I don’t think it is too early.

Has the RSVP date passed? If yes, than definitely have her call, so rude of people not to respond.

@Misswa2011: I agree with kaw2be 100%. If the date has passed, call them ASAP! That’s one of my biggest pet peeves…people being inconsiderate & not responding to an RSVP.
