I’m looking for some creative, fun, cheap wedding shower ideas in Houston.
A little background: I grew up in Houston and my family moved. My sister recently got engaged and I want her to have a wedding shower thour her old friends can attend. Obviously my mothers friends who are invited to the wedding will also be invited. She misses good tex mex and BBQ. Texas in general.
My guess is there will be 40-50 people attending the shower.
Im hoping you bees can help! Thanks!

My shower was at the Grotto on a Saturday for lunch in a private room.
I hosted my sister’s bridesmaid luncheon at the Daily Review. I wanted to have it at our club, but it was closed that day. I have found that some of the outlying Club Corp clubs offer really reasonable rates for the rooms and are very pretty.
Another idea might be the Armadillo Palace if she misses BBQ.
Catering fajitas if you have a venue is really economical. I have found that 1/4 lb per person with beans, tortillas, pico, cheese, etc. is great. If you have vegetarians, if there’s guac and vegatarian beans, you can easily accomodate them. It’s been a while since I’ve had stuff catered, but I was surprised to find that Tortuga’s was actually cheaper than Taco Cabana!
