    I would definitely be a little po’d about that. As Maid/Matron of Honor you definitely should be at the shower unless there are extenuating circumstances which work really isn’t considering she had advance notice and should have requested it off.

    If she’s working, I think you should cut her some slack.  It isn’t like she is ditching you to go to a concert or something.  Working retail is super tough- requesting time off on the weekends is difficult, and she may not be able to afford to request the day off.  I would be a little annoyed that she didn’t rsvp, but the “regrets only” rsvp method kinda sets you up for some confusion since you can’t see if people just were too lazy to not respond.

    I think that’s kind of lame. My Maid/Matron of Honor is planning my shower, but even if she wasn’t, I’d be really bummed if she couldn’t be there! I mean, I’d understand seeing as how she lives 5 hours away, but I’d be bummed.

    Your Maid/Matron of Honor had plenty of notice in order to take a day off to attend your shower.
