So….. what kinds of things do you usually put on ur bridal shower registry? Fiance and I are moving accross the country a week aftert the wedding, so i cant ask for anything big, like house stuff, since we wont be taking a uhaul. Plus we might end up out the country once he graduates. So far i have some lingere, obviously, but what else can i put? Is it ok to put stuff like sleepwear, i dont want to seem like im just asking for things and using the wedding as an excuse to get clothes. lol.

I think lingerie and sleep wear are fair things for a bridal shower. Is the shower specifically for lingerie or is there a theme? I think newlyweds need to have good sleepwear that ISN’T lingerie.
But definitely register for some other things as well. What kinds of things are you taking with you overseas? Maybe you should ask people for gift certificates for online stores? That way you can buy the things you need once you get to your permanent house. Just explain to everyone why you’re asking for those.
Or if that’s a big deal, just ship the bigger items to your house once you get there. Yea it might be expensive, but they are new things that you don’t want to sell 10 days after your wedding. Hope this helps 🙂

kperry3- no theme, as far as i know. And i completely agree. Fiance loves the little boxer shorts honestly more than he likes other things. He kinda has a whats the point attitude towards lingerie. he says im just going to take it off anyways. lol. Im not sure about what were taking with us. Everytime im in target i want to register for things so badly, but we honestly have no clue where we will end up living. Plus his job will be on a contract to contract basis, so we could be in one country for a year then another for 2 then another for 6 months until we decide to come home and start a family. 🙁 My mom said since my birthday is actually a the day before the wedding i should just register for things i like, and if anyone says anything to her, she will explain our moving situation and the fact that they are bridal shower/birthday gifts. I know my family will be like oh cool. But FI’s family doesnt like me as it is, so im worried they will take it as one more thing that proves what a snobby brat i am.

If you want to put something on the registry , register for small things that you can either take with you, or store until you know where you will be. Good knives are essential for every kitchen and a full set can add up. Register for individual knives from a good quality manufacturer.
