Are these their Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts for being in the wedding or shower hostess gifts? I’ve only ever seen Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts given at the rehearsal dinner, so not sure what you mean.

Are they throwing you the shower, or are you talking about your gifts for them because they are in your wedding?

If you’re just talking about a thank-you gift for being in the wedding, I didn’t give my bridesmaids their gifts until our rehearsal dinner, which I think is what a lot of people do. Why don’t you wait and give them their gifts at that time, and then hopefully you’ll have a little better of an idea of what to write because they’ll step up their game?

@FutureMrsChaney: Yeah, I totally feel you. ๐Ÿ™ I would just give them a rather generic thank-you note then. No need to write some long, heartfelt thank you when there’s a ton of emotion and gratitude that’s actually there. Maybe you could make a postcard similar to the one below and then just write something on the back like:

Bridesmaid’s Name-

Thank you so much for being a part of my wedding; it means so much to me to know that you will be standing next to me in support as I commit to _______ for the rest of my life. You have no idea how much your being a bridesmaid in my wedding means to me.

Love,

Bride’s Name

I suggest that if you are closer to one than the others, that you talk to her about it and prompt her to light a fire under the rest. Maybe your MOH?

@FutureMrsChaney: Haha well then just give them a postcard attached to the gift without a message! ๐Ÿ™‚ Or if you feel that slighted, don’t give the nice gifts to them and use them yourself. lol.

@FutureMrsChaney: Haha awww. I actually had two BMs that quit before the wedding and told other people they were going to quit before even coming to me. So I TOTALLY get it. Go with your gut; don’t be nicer than you feel they deserve, but being spiteful isn’t necessary either. ๐Ÿ™‚

@FutureMrsChaney: True. Always remember there’s eBay and WeddingBee Classifieds if you want to get some money back on some of your stuff and not give it all to them… haha. I sold two bridesmaid shirts on eBay and got my money back for them! ๐Ÿ˜‰
