Hi, I live in Norwalk.  There are tons of places around here but and I have to warn you that it’s pretty pricey, especially if you are looking for a restaurant for a sit-down brunch or luncheon. You might want to check on Chowhound (General Tri-State archive or Southern New England board).

There are a lot of great places in South Norwalk, a good neighborhood to walk around in for shops, bars, and restaurants, water view.  Some places here are Barcelona, Brewhouse, Chocopolgie, The Loft (I had my rehearsal dinner there, but it was a cocktail party, not a sit-down).  Good luck!

I also live in the area.  How many people are you expecting for the shower?  Are you looking for a certain type of food or atmosphere?  What is your budget?

In Norwalk, I agree with @eeper on Chocopolgie and Barcelona.  I would also add Strata 18 or O’Neills if you are looking to stay within SoNo.

Outside Norwalk, going South to Stamford I would recommend Eclisse, Columbus Park (upstairs), Butterfield 8, Brasitas (and they also have an upstairs).  Or in Darien, 1020 Post or the Black Goose.

Outside Norwalk, going North to Westport I would recommend Tutti’s.

If you need other suggestions, let me know.  Good luck and I am sure it will be a blast!!

I went to a birthday party at Chocopologie recently, and judging by other Yelp reviews, it has gone down hill a bit. The food was not amazing, but the prices were high. The service was extraordinarily slow. I was happy to go for my friend’s party b/c that is where she wanted it, but I would not recommend it as a restaurant worth your money to anyone else. 🙁
