I went to the Bridal expo with a good friend and a Bride, well of course we signed up for at least 50 things. Well she had gotten a call that said she had won a vacation from NHSCOOKING4YOU. (National Healthstyles Cooking 4 You.) She’s a little freaked out, but as I told her it was the “Best of Florida” Bridal expo, so I don’t believe doing a seminar and then “scamming” the “getting the vacation”, but it’s always best to be safe then sorry. Has anyone won anything like this? I want to make sure it’s not a scam and she isn’t waiting time.

@FutureMrsHosmer: I did, twice! At first I thought it was great, but when I looked into it, it wasn’t! The prizes are real, but they want you to sit through a demo for something that is waaay overpriced. And the prizes aren’t that great. And, sometimes they call you about a year after you attended the show. Annoying.

@brendaray2009: other than sitting and watching the presentation, is there any other “surprises” ? do you have to buy something from that demo

@nikkidrew90: Well, I never went to the demo. However, I heard from others that have and they really put pressure on you. You win a discount on the merchandise, but considering how expensive they are it isn’t really worth it. You still get your prizes, even if you don’t buy. However, the weekend trip is usually just hotel, nothing else.
